Great ground cover amongst pavers stepping stones. Heading mint scent is released when walked upon. Requires much water when grown in full sun. harvest: Pick leaves before the plant flowers, or after it has been cut back and plant has started to regrow. Leaves can then be used fresh or dry and use later in herbal teas. Keep pinching off flower heads to keep new foliage coming to harvest. culinary notes: Leaves – fresh or dried are used to make a delightful tea. This mint has long been used as a flavouring for ‘crème de menthe’. |
