description:  A well-know feline aphrodisiac.  Leaves have a fuzzy texture and are grey-green in color.  Long whitish, or pinkish, purple flower spikes bloom in the summer which are attractive to butterflies and bees.  Also rated as a excellent honey plant.  The scent of this plant is said to repel certain pests.  Cut back hard after first flowering to encourage a second growth and flowers.  

harvest:  In early spring, pick young leaves for culinary purposes.  When plant is budding, pick leaves to dry for medicinal use.

culinary notes:  Young leaves have a slightly bitter, minty flavour.  When used in a tea – has medicinal properties.
