description:   One of the unique features of Kent Beauty Oregano are the prominent veins found in the heart-shaped blue green leaves.  The flower are also spectacular. The bracts of these flowers are pink and chartreuse in color.  Very unique flowers.  Outstanding ornamental oregano.   Because of its trailing growth pattern, this is a great herb to use in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes.

harvest:  The bracts can be cut and dried for crafts. Cut the stems before any browning occurs on the bracts. Hang upside down to dry.   

notes:   Although the foliage is aromatic, it is not of the pungency and quality expected for culinary oreganos and is usually not used in cooking. Bracted-flowers may be dried for use in dried flower arrangements.
